This is my 6th year of teaching. I spent the last 5 years teaching in Kentwood Public Schools working with emotionally impaired students. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with endorsements to teach students with cognitive impairments and emotional impairments. I am just beginning to take classes towards my Masters of Arts in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunities each day to make a difference in kids lives! When I am not in school, I enjoy spending my time with my family!

My para pros this year are Melissa VandenHoek, Tammy Fischer, and Julie Teusink/Sam Dekker. They assist students in specials (gym, music, art and STEAM), recess/lunch and with academics throughout the day. They really are an essential part of our program and have a deep love for each of the students in our classroom. They all have experience differentiating lessons for each student so that the students are challenged at their instructional level.
