The kids have been learning how to incorporate the social, speech & language, PT, and OT skills into real life situations and this fall we've been working on situations they might encounter at a fair.  Because of this, we decided to try and re-create a "fairground" environment at school for a Fun Fair Day.

Here are some of the activities featured at the fair:
  • Tractor Ride
  • Squirt guns
  • Face Painting
  • Petting Zoo
  • Applesauce Blue Ribbon Contest (Students each made a different applesauce which fair-goers were able to taste and vote on.)
  • Soccer Kick
  • Ring Toss
  • Bucket Throw
  • Duck Pond

Our goal for our students is that they will take the skills they’ve learned in a small group setting and generalize these skills to more challenging, real life situations. We’d like to give our students a  toolbox of skills that will facilitate a functional independent lifestyle
